Parking and other info:
The course is located in the Ardenwood Dumbarton business estate.
Parking is on the streets in the local area. Porta potties are
located adjacent to the registration area.
The races held here are training races, and as such are primarily
aimed at the lower racing categories. The organizers, Velo Promo,
provide mentoring before, during and after races, so that novice
racers can learn to compete safely and with an appreciation of their
responsibilities to their fellow competitors.
There is no water or food at the circuit. The nearest store is located
at the gas station at the junction of Ardenwood and Paseo Padre, about
quarter of a mile away to the north.
If there is heavy rain the races will be cancelled. This is primarily
a safety issue for the novice riders. If the roads are wet, the races
go ahead.
The registration area is located at the corner of Dumbarton circle and
Campus Drive.
The Course, street by street:
The circuit is a flat, clockwise loop based upon Dumbarton Circle,
Campus Drive and Kaiser Drive.
The start finish and area is on Dumbarton Circle.
The streets have bot dots but have an excellent pavement
otherwise. Turn 1, 2 and 3 are 90-degree corners. Turn 4 is a gradual
right turn. Due to the gradual nature of turn 4, the finish sprint
tends to be very long and it also causes the majority of crashes.
