Haha. I was hoping for a top 10 at this race. Only in my dreams.

The course is on Infineon Raceway and there is a wall climb. It felt almost as steep as Cat's hill, but longer. I didn't really expect that and was overgeared in my 39x23.

I lasted with the pack for 4 laps, then was spit out the back. I sat up for the next group (4 people) and worked with them for the next 4-5 laps. Basically, I dreaded every time I had to climb the wall. It was so demoralizing.

I led my little group of 4 for the last half of the last lap and then attacked them with a little more than 500 meters left. I got nipped at the line by one guy. I always seem to get nipped at the line. Ugh.

I don't know what the deal was this weekend. I expected all the races to be flat and they were anything but.

The next three races all say they have a slight incline/hill: Lafayette, Watsonville, and Albany. Hopefully, they aren't too big. Can anyone give me a point of reference on how much climbing these races have?
