Experimental new ride leader incentive

Following a suggestion by Mike Northrup (months ago), and discussions by the FFBC board we've decided to try a different type of ride leader incentive for 3 months. The new incentive, which starts in September, will reward ride leaders who list rides in our monthly calendar by paying for their coffee. Details of the incentive are as follows:

  • The award is a $4 coffee stipend for each ride listed on the ride calendar.
  • The stipend is given to one ride leader for each pace of a listed ride (so on our monthly Calaveras ride there would be two stipends, one for the M ride leader and one for the B ride leader. If there were 2 M ride leaders they'd have to duke it out).
  • At the end of each month the treasurer will make out checks to all eligible ride leaders (the ride coordinator will pass that information along to the treasurer).
  • Short notice rides are not eligible (since they don't appear on our calendar).
  • Show & Go ride are not eligible since they don't have ride leaders.
  • The new incentive replaces our monthly $25 drawing.
  • This is a 3 month trial. At the end of the 3 months the board will decide to keep it permanently or revert to our old scheme.

Speak to outgoing ride leader Vanessa McDonnell or incoming ride leader Dave Fishbaugh for more details.
